HISTORY Polk County Title’s roots date back to 1845, when it was originally established as Garvey Abstract in the basement of the Polk County courthouse. Since that time, the company has gone through several names, owners and locations; in 1978, the name changed to Polk County Title, Inc. Polk County Title became a wholly-owned subsidiary of First National Bank of Livingston in 2000. In 2007, we purchased Livingston Abstract to expand our resources and better serve our customers’ needs. Today, we are a team of energetic individuals with over 200 years worth of combined expereince. Rest assured we know our jobs inside and out… and we love what we do. We are backed by a comprehensive title plant as well as the latest technology. But the real reason we come to work everyday is because we know that in some small way, what we do helps shape our community.
